Here's the thing about Instagram: it's all about really good photography. The better your visuals are, the more followers you get. But you have to have a niche and a style you don't deter from. And what a perfect bonding experience that can be! Get your dog involved by dressing up, setting up a photoshoot area, and capturing your dog's natural charm. Not only will the dog enjoy not really having to do much at all, you'll love the adorable images you get to take! Just remember, you'll be taking a lot of pictures, and not all props will be your dog's favorites. Listen to your dog!
Step
1
Set everything up
For your Instagram photoshoot, you'll need a few things, like sunglasses and scarves, pretty backdrops, and a way to keep your dog still, like an incentive. Treats help immensely. So gather up everything you need and select a really good area to take photos. The best areas are the ones with plenty of daylight and plenty of varying angles to choose from. After all, if all of your stuff is collected in one space, it's nice to stay there for a while, but still have every image look as though it's a new day and place.
Step
2
It's photoshoot time!
Now that you've gathered everything, dress up your dog however your image would work if your dog was a human being. Maybe a cardigan, maybe a t-shirt, or some sunglasses will do the trick? Once you're ready, get the dog's attention, or just capture your dog in the moment, something organic. If you feel you've gotten the image you were looking for, change the outfit and do it all over again! Only this time, try finding another angle or backdrop.

Yes, you read that right. There are dog cooking classes. Don't worry, you're the one that's cooking in the class, but your dog gets to watch, wait impatiently, and taste test along the way. Once you're done cooking, you get to serve your dog something delicious, created by you and only you! But wait, how is that different than cooking at home? Well, for one thing you have a professional teaching you proper techniques. But the main difference is that you're cooking gourmet dog food, not regular food! Ha! It's a fun way to bond with your pet, and still learn valuable techniques you can apply when cooking food for humans!
Step
1
Do Your research
Before jumping into a class, it's important to do your research. Where are dog cooking classes offered in your area? Which ones are more reasonably priced? Is there a set menu, or do you get to choose what to make for your dog?Make sure you get all the details you need and that the food you make is something your dog would actually eat.
Step
2
Attend a class
Once you get all signed up for a class and are ready to go, attend it with your dog. Make sure to bring a leash, and anything you may need for the class. Usually there's a list of items, unless they provide everything for you (they should). However, they may ask you to bring the dog's food and water bowl. If so, don't forget them!
Step
3
Keep the fun going at home
Once you've attended a class, you may choose to keep attending others, but if not, you can keep the fun going at home for free - minus the cost of ingredients. There are plenty of dog meal ideas and recipes online, there's even cookbooks and YouTube channels dedicated to it. So feel free to pick out a recipe that captures your dog's attention and make it right at home!

Video Editing Software
Activity description
Starting a dog YouTube channel can seem daunting, but there's quite a market for it. Some thrive off of placing the dog as a host for a show where they examine humans from a canine perspective. They often ask if humans pee inside the house, or if humans enjoy car rides as much as they do, for instance. But let's not sugarcoat it: making a YouTube video these days requires a decent camera at least, not just a smartphone. Technically you can use a smartphone, but it won't be the best quality. You would also need to use video editing software, which can be pricey depending on what you get. The best thing to do is to do some research on the subject and see what others are using.
Step
1
The planning stage
This is your chance to look up other dog channels and see what generates the most interest. Based on your findings, and your dog's personality, select a concept that you know you can work with. Once selected, it's time to plan how the overall show will look. Will it be retro, will it be hipster, will it be your regular, modern show? Whatever you choose, will dictate the location you'll shoot the show.
Step
2
The shooting stage
Once you've planned everything out, selected an area for shooting, and have the show scripted out, it's time to call your dog over and start recording. Some dogs will sit there and cooperate, but others will want to go do something else. So either work with it, or get some treats to keep your dog's attention right where you need it to be.
Step
3
The editing stage
Once you've shot all of the scenes for the show and you've rewarded your dog with some treats, it's time to get some editing done. For this stage, go ahead and use video editing software you find easy to use. Ideally, you want something that gives you plenty of options. If you're unsure of which software to choose, remember to see what everyone else is using. There are entire forums and channels dedicated to content like this.

More Fun Ideas...

Have A Wes Anderson Movie Marathon

There's no one more artistic than Wes Anderson. And if your dog is artistic, then any of Anderson's films will do just fine. May we suggest Isle of Dogs? Just remember, get some healthy snacks for your dog to much on throughout. It's not like you're sharing your chocolate, that would be a bad idea.

Paint Together

Ensure the paint is safe to use both on your skin, and on your dog. Because it will get everywhere! The way this works is you get a big canvas, safe to use paint, and then do whatever you want. Use your hands to smear paint on the canvas, do little drops of paint and have your pet walk across, or roll over on it. And to clean up, pull out the hose in the yard and let your dog bite at the water!

Conclusion

As you an see, there are many artistic activities you can do with your dog artful dog. And many of these activities involve some pretty awesome hobbies and skill sets that you can both develop over time. More than just something to do, many of these activities prove that you can cultivate new skills with enough dedication and support from a friend.
