Activity description
Bea Griffons are known to be a very loyal companion dog. They enjoy spending time with their owners and can get a little sad when their owners go away. While you may have to leave your dog at home at some point (not all offices are dog-friendly!), bring your dog with you on errands whenever you can. While a trip to the store may seem like a chore to you, it will be a big adventure for your Bea Griffon! Having your dog by your side will also make everyday errands seem a little more exciting for you as well.
Step
1
Pet store
Bring your dog to your local pet store to go shopping for toys, dog food or just to take a look around. Most pet stores will allow you to bring your dog inside so they can join in on the fun as well. Be prepared for your Bea Griffon to choose their own new toy from the shelf!
Step
2
Dog dining
Find a local dog-friendly restaurant where you and your pup can go grab a bite to eat. Since Bea Griffons tend to be a mellow dog and they are quite small, they will do great in a restaurant setting. Ask your server for a bowl of fresh water for your dog and enjoy a nice meal together away from home.
Step
3
Drive
If you have nowhere specific to go but just need to get out of the house for a bit, bring your Bea Griffon for a nice car ride. Roll down the windows a tiny bit so that your pup can smell all the exciting new scents as you drive. Some mellow music, fresh air and beautiful scenery is the perfect way to relax with your Bea Griffon.

Activity description
Bea Griffons are a very intelligent breed of dog. This means that they will enjoy playing games where their intelligence is challenged. You can easily set up a few activities to play with your Bea Griffon or for them to play on their own. In fact, it is a great idea to set up a game for your Bea Griffon anytime you need to leave the house. This will keep your dog happy and mentally stimulated while also distracting them from the fact that their favorite person (you) is not by their side. Make the games as challenging as you’d like, this breed of dog will be able to figure out any puzzle you throw their way!
Step
1
Treat toys
Treat puzzle toys are a perfect game for your Bea Griffon as they are challenging and rewarding - the toy literally will reward your pup with a treat if they can figure it out! Put some of your dog's favorite treats inside the puzzle to and let them play. You can invest in varying levels of difficulty to keep your pup challenged as they explore how they work.
Step
2
Hide and seek
Play a game of hide and seek with your dog where you hide their favorite toy and they need to use their nose to find it. If this is too easy, try hiding yourself! Your Bea Griffon will love finding their favorite person hiding in the house! Treats are also ideal to hide and have your pup search for. Hide and seek can go on all day!
Step
3
Muffin tin treats
Place a few treats in a muffin tin and then place a tennis ball on top of each muffin cavity. The tennis balls fit perfectly to “trap” the goodies and make your dog have to work to get the balls off. Your pup will use their nose and paws to move the tennis balls and then eat their treat reward!

Activity description
Bea Griffons love to play with toys and, if you are like many dog owners, you likely have to purchase many toys to entertain your dog. While this is great for keeping your Bea Griffon happy, it may not be ideal for you as the human who has to clean up all the toys. The simple solution to this problem is to train your Bea Griffon to pick up their own toys! Not only is this helpful (your house will be clean again!) but your dog will also see it as a game rather than a chore. So, make your pup even happier with their toy selection by showing them how to clean up.
Step
1
Toy spot
Show your dog the designated spot where their toys belong. Give the spot a name such as “bin” or “toy corner”, something simple. Say the name of the area while you place a toy there. Give your dog a treat (or several treats) as you are showing them where toys go. While they may not be doing anything just yet, they will be encouraged to learn through rewards.
Step
2
Clean together
Next time you are cleaning up dog toys, keep your Bea Griffon by your side and say “clean” while you are picking the toys up and “bin” when you place them where they belong. If your pup happens to pick up a toy in their mouth, encourage them to put it in the designated toy spot and then reward them.
Step
3
Doggy clean
Keep teaching your dog “clean” and “bin” as you clean until they naturally start working alongside you. Soon, your Bea Griffon will pick up their own toys when you simply say “clean” or “bin”. It is also just so nice for you and for your pup to always know where their favorite toys are kept! Cleaning can be fun!

New Tricks

Bea Griffons are very clever and they are easily able to learn new tricks. Think of some fun things to teach your dog (jump through a hoop, fetch your shoes, turn on a light switch) and start training!

Exposure

Some Bea Griffons are a little skittish around other people and pets. Bring your dog to dog parks and to family events to make them grow accustomed to being around others.

Conclusion

Bea Griffons are small, loveable dogs that deserve to have a great day, every day. You can definitely make that possible with little effort and big results. A few treat games here, and a simple outing in the car there and your Bea Griffon will be smiling that puppy smile all day long! With a happy Bea Griffon by your side, you are an unstoppable, energetic force! All you need to do is be as loyal and devoted to your dog as they are to you.
