Introduction

Bichomos are adorable little creatures that bless this Earth every day with their cuteness. The little doggo, the mix between a Bichon Frise and an American Eskimo can reach about one foot in height, meaning that they are not really capable of strenuous exercise and extreme sports, but they are perfect apartment dogs, ready and willing to play whenever they can! So, with a little bit of creativity, your Bichomo can get enough exercise and fun in a day!

Flirt pole
Activity description
Sometimes, life is all about the flirt. You flirt with danger, you flirt with excitement, and your pup can do a little bit of pole flirting in their spare time. Flirt poles are great tools for dogs of all sizes. They develop agility and allow your pup to practice their natural instincts and chase after a toy. They can practice jumping and spinning, so including a flirt pole in your weekly play time is a great way to shed some pounds (or grams in your small doggo’s case) and promote a healthy lifestyle with a bit of physical activity.
Step
1
Get a pole
Find a flirt pole that will complement the size of your dog. Since Bichomos are quite small doggos, try to find a smaller flirt pole online, in your local pet store, or just make one yourself, which is probably the most fun way to obtain one! A dowel, a piece of sturdy string and a favorite toy are all you need.
Step
2
Get a toy
Next, find a toy to attach to the end of your flirt pole. Again, keep in mind that your pup’s jaws are not as big as those of a Labrador, so get a toy that your doggo can actually bite on and catch with their mouth. It can be a squishy toy or a plush, either way your pup will love it!
Step
3
Play!
Time to play the game! Go to your backyard or the local park and start flirt poling! Let your pup chase after the toy, try to make the game challenging, but let them win from time to time. This will avoid frustration and show your dog how cool it is to win!

Activity description

When the day is rainy and you cannot go outside, you can still have fun inside your house! One of the most entertaining games for doggos big and small is the classic obstacle course. You do not have to go to an expensive dog gym to play, you can build an obstacle course with your own ten fingers and two paws right in the comfort of your home. Move some furniture around, get some pillows, and create an adventure course your doggo will surely love. This is also a great way to test your pup’s abilities and to teach them new tricks, and maybe even eliminate the fear of heights!

Step
1
Build it!
First of all, build your obstacle course. Move the chairs, sofas, tables, and cabinets to create a unique obstacle track for your small pup. Bear in mind that they cannot jump over tall pieces of furniture, so you will probably have to use stools and pillows to create hurdles. Otherwise, let your brain get creative and make a challenging polygon!
Step
2
Play!
Once your course is ready, time to play! Show your dog where to go and how to overcome the obstacles. Lure them with treats and even go through the course with them the first time. Be there to catch them and give them a delicious treat when they complete the whole thing!

Activity description
Everybody needs somebody to love, even your adorable Bichomo! Us humans tend to make friends from a very young age, and that is crucial for our social development. Same can be said for dogs as well. Sure, they love spending time with us, but they do need canine companionship in order to thrive and learn how to respect other animals. So, gather your fellow dog owners and make a dull day into a fun day by organizing an exciting doggy play date! In your local park or your home, your dogs can play together, have fun, and learn how to be proper dogs!
Step
1
Get social
Before you let your dogs run around freely, teach them how to behave around each other. Keep them on their leashes until they get more comfortable, and let them know that it is okay to sniff each other and get more familiar with each other scents.
Step
2
Let the games begin
When your dogs are comfortable around each other, it is time to play! Go through your obstacle course together, have a dogtastic ice-cream in the park, and go for long walks together. With their best canine friend by their side, there is nothing your Bichomo cannot do!
