Australian Cattle Dogs were bred to be herding dogs, helping ranchers move cattle from one field to another. These dogs would run alongside cows, listening to commands to chase the cows left and right until they finally arrived at their destination. This deep need to herd is definitely present in Boston Cattle Dogs as well. However,  you do not need to find a field of cattle to help satisfy your dog's need to herd. Instead, teach your dog how to play treibball - an awesome game for dogs who love to herd but are lacking in farm animals to chase! 

Many people associate Boston Terriers with having a lot of energy. While this is true, a Boston Terrier's energy is very manageable and they will be sweet loving pups when they are properly exercised.
