Activity description

Weshis often love social interactions. Why not find some stores in your area that allow you to shop with your dog? While you can browse things or pick up a few things that you need, your dog can meet new people (and possibly other four-legged friends!). Shopping is great exercise for both you and your pooch, and you can take the time to work on good leash behavior. The main preparation for shopping with your Weshi will require you to research places that allow dogs inside. Many home renovation and hardware stores allow dogs, and pet stores are always a good option.

Step
1
A place to shop
You can't take your dog everywhere with you, but there are plenty of places that allow dogs to join in on the fun. Pet stores are always fun for dogs, but there are so many other options that you can make a day out of it with your Weshi. Just take the time to make sure the stores you want to visit will allow your dog. If you can't find the information online, give the store a call.
Step
2
Best behavior
Pretty much anywhere that you take your dog will require that they are kept on a leash. Be sure to respect the stores by adhering to all of the rules they have in place. One misbehaved dog could ruin it for everyone, and you don't want your Weshi to spoil the outing.

Activity description
Get your dog moving with a game of doggy tag! You and another person that your dog is comfortable with can play tag with your dog. This game is very simple and doesn't require your dog to learn anything new. In fact, it doesn't even require the humans to run around. Instead, your Weshi is going to get a lot of exercise with treats as a reward. What's not to like for both you and your dog? Plus, this game can be played inside or outside, and it will cost you next to nothing to play! Time to play tag with your Weshi.
Step
1
Get prepared
The first thing that you will need to do to get ready for a fun game of tag is to figure out a partner to play with. Maybe your spouse or a friend can help you. Then, you will need to find a safe place to play - your pup will be off leash so you want a secure area in which to play tag. Next, get treats for you and your partner to hold onto.
Step
2
Tag and treat
Standing in your positions, preferably a few feet away from each other, take turns calling your Weshi to you. When your obedient pooch listens to your call, give them a small treat. Let your partner call your dog and reward them. Repeat until your pooch is tired and ready for a rest!

Activity description
One of the easiest ways to give your Weshi both exercise and social interaction is to take them to a nearby dog park. Even though Weshis are little, there are often small dog areas at dog parks where the compact dogs can all run and play together without worrying about the big dogs chasing or injuring them. You will probably want to avoid the dog park when it is wet outside, but otherwise you can go at any time. It is generally free to visit a dog park, and there are often a lot of dog parks around suburban and metropolitan areas.
Step
1
Research the parks
If you live in a fairly heavily populated area, there is bound to be a dog park close by. However, it might take a little research to find a dog park that is nice, that has separate enclosures for big and small canines, and provides pets with water and lots of room for running. Once you find a dog park, the rest is easy.
Step
2
Enjoy the fun
For you, visiting a dog park is very easy. Just sit back and relax while your dog makes new friends. You should be supervising the interactions to make sure that there are no fights or other problems that come up. If there are no other dogs around, you might want to play with your pooch yourself.

Have a Playdate

Invite some doggy friends over to your home for a little pow-wow! Keep some toys and treats around to keep all the guests entertained and happy during the playdate.

Learn a New Trick

Weshis need to be mentally stimulated in addition to the physical exercise they get. Take a few minutes to teach your pooch a new trick or two to keep them mentally sharp.

Conclusion

Weshis are adorable and small, but that doesn't mean that they are just lap dogs. These little pups will need physical activity to keep them at a healthy weight. Keep your Weshi happy and healthy with at least 30 minutes of activity each day. Since these dogs are very social, they will give you bonus cuddles for any activity that you participate in with them.
