Every October, dogs decked out in their Halloween best gather with their humans for the annual Canines in Costume for a Cause 5K/10K! Bring your creatively-costumed critter along to the Country Club of SC to participate in the 5K or 10K run and enjoy a day of fun! Registration is $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K and proceeds benefit the lifesaving work of the Florence Area Humane Society. This fee includes a raffle ticket, food, and a dry-wicking event shirt! Make sure to stick around after the race for the raffle, food, a canine costume contest, and a tail-waggin' good time! Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place doggos. Come be festive with your furry friend and move those paws for a great cause!

Grateful Dog Festival
Come in your best tie-dye and get groovy 'til the wee hours of the morning at this pawsome party featuring music, dancing, vendors, games, contests, and all things dog! The Grateful Dog Festival takes place every summer at Southern Hops Brewing Company, bringing together brews, food, and family- and dog-friendly fun! The event features inside and outside stages, 14 awesome local bands, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, a "Cutest Pooch Contest", a bingo motorcycle run, tie-dying, face painting, and a whole lot more. The event is free to the public, but proceeds from the raffle, silent auction, merchandise sales, and dontations benefit local humane societies.
