Since 1939, the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter has been serving the area's dogs and the community. If you are looking for a furry new best friend, contact the shelter or pay them a visit. There are so many pets out there looking for pet parent just like you - what do you have to lose? Why not save a life! They will love you fur-ever for it!
If you are looking to volunteer your time, contact the shelter. They have plenty of jobs for loving, dedicated volunteers. The shelter is always looking for donated goods such as cleaning supplies, quality food, dog beds, treats, and collars. It takes so much to make the shelter run smoothly; any help that the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center receives from the community is very much appreciated!
If you are a Girl Scout or a Boy Scout or no a troop or two, the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter would love to help them organize a day to volunteer at the shelter. Bring in your church group, your grandkids, or your family to pitch in and help. There is always cleaning that needs to be done to keep the pet's living areas sanitary. To give the dogs some one-on-one time, you could take them for a walk, feed them, brush them or just tell them how pretty they are!
