Give a Wag! Gives to Paducah Shelters

The McCracken Humane Society has a mission - to save all unwanted, neglected, abused, abandoned, "too sick", "too old", "too time-consuming", stray, hungry, and homeless pets and let them know they are loved, they matter and that a fur-ever loving home is out there ready to meet them!

The McCracken County Humane Society has many wonderful, loving pets just waiting to be called your new family member! If you have been considering adopting your first pet or adding to your already furry pack, The McCracken County Humane Society hopes you will consider one of their babies to adopt! Please check out their website or visit the shelter to meet our pets one-on-one. Be prepared to fall in love!

Before you make the commitment to be a furry one's fur-ever person, please take into consideration your lifestyle, your financial abilities to properly care for and feed your new pet and your current living situation. The team at McCracken County Humane Society will be here to help you with any and all questions you may have. Once you pick your perfect pet, there will be an adoption process and a home visit. The pets in the Humane Society's care are their family until they become your family and they take their forever placement very seriously. They will be checking to see if the potential new home environment is safe and secure, that adoptive parents agree to have their new family member spayed or neutered, that your new pet will not live outdoors on a chain and without shelter.  If you are a perfect match for each other, Fido or Fifi will be your newest family member and they will thank you every day for giving them a new, loving family!

If you are not able to adopt, perhaps you can volunteer your time. There are so many jobs that need to be done every day including cleaning, transportation, fundraising, office work, playing with or walking the dogs or just cuddling with shy, timid or sick pups that need a friend.

The McCracken Humane Society is also in need of donations of either a monetary nature or of hard goods such as those items on their wish list. These are items like quality food, paper towels, Clorox, toys, kitty litter, towels, washcloths and blankets.

If you are looking for a new fur-ever friend, please contact the McCracken Humane Society as soon as possible! Your new best friend can't wait to meet you! If you can volunteer or would like to make a donation of any kind, it will be greatly appreciated.
