There are numerous shelters and pet organizations in the area that help contribute to this attitude. One of the most notable is the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills, a non-profit organization that's been open since about 2007. This organization has been protecting and enforcing California's anti-cruelty laws since their inception and helping homeless, helpless animals in the area.
Another popular shelter in the area is Placer SPCSA, a non-profit organization that's been open since 1973 and has proudly protected animals in the area. They typically house over 4,000 animals yearly. They also offer educational classes for the public.
Either of these establishments would be an excellent place to source out your next fur-baby, so give them a call if it's time to expand your family!
We can't bark enough about this annual event - Barktoberfest is just the best! This event, hosted by the Placer SPCA, is an annual event in Roseville that's unlike any other. You and your pup can join in on one of the most anticipated community doggo events in the area. You can take part in a fun run or walk (both humans and canines are invited), join in on fun games and contests, eat delicious doggo treats (and human treats, too), shop among the pup vendors in the area, and introduce your pup to other pooches from around town. A play on Oktoberfest, you can of course, expect beer tastings, too!
