Give a Wag! Gives to Round Rock Shelters

Round Rock, Texas, is located around 20 miles north of Austin. For homeless pets in the area, local shelters are the only safe haven from the elements and possible starvation.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is located in Georgetown, Texas, is one of the closest shelters to Round Rock. This shelter helps lost and homeless animals make their ways back to their families or into new ones that will provide care and love. The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter works with the Animal Control Division to pick up homeless animals off the streets. Not only does this protect the animals from harm on the streets, but it also makes it possible for these animals to get necessary medical care.

Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services operates the Pflugerville Animal Shelter for the city of Pflugerville, which is located near Round Rock. The shelter is responsible for housing homeless animals in the region until they can be placed in new homes. The Animal Control Department picks up lost and homeless animals and brings them to the Pflugerville Animal Shelter for care. In addition, the organization can help in neglect and abuse cases in the area.

If you live in the Round Rock area and are looking for a new pet, consider stopping by one of these great shelters to find a pooch to share your home with. For those who aren’t able to adopt a pet, consider volunteering your time or donating money to one of the shelters to help animals in the Round Rock area.
