For example, Foothills Animal Rescue has been taking in homeless pets for over twenty years. Located in Scottsdale, the rescue takes in dogs and cats who've fallen on hard times. A host of dedicated staff members works together to provide emergency medical care, food, water, and rehabilitation measures to the furry residents of the rescue. A fully working boutique exists to help support the rescue, while donations are always welcomed as well. Rehoming dozens of pets each year, the center is a shining example of how much the people of Scottsdale care about animals.
Another great location where you can find animals that need loving homes is the Coalition of All Breed Rescue. This group focuses on educating the public about the positive and negative behaviors of different breeds while finding homes for every possible dog they help to support. This organization makes every possible effort to remove recognized breeds from shelters that do not support a "no kill" policy, as well as taking in mixed breeds. Volunteers, staff, and approved foster homes house the animals during rehabilitation and while finding these lovely furbabies their new furever homes.
