“Experienced, trustworthy, loving and fun!”

Hi and welcome to WAG! I love dogs and making them happy by getting them out for some exercise and fun. I have been a dog owner for 9 years and was a shelter volunteer where I took workshops about how to handle dogs including fearful, adolescents and puppies. I use positive reinforcement and have taken a dog cognition and behavior course. I am accepting walks at this time and use a mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, as well as my own leash when walking your dog.

Hi! My name is Julia Thomas and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pup(s)! I have experience both walking dogs and dog sitting from my high school and college days, and I've been a pet owner for most of my life. Right now I have two fluffy cats, but I'm hoping to add a dog-friend to the mix soon. Here's a little about me and my availability in case you're interested in hiring me to walk your furry friend. I've taught 5th grade in Philadelphia for the past two years, but I'm taking this school year off from teaching in order to apply to law school. Right now I work in the evening from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, which means that I'm available during the day for walks. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions. Thanks for reading!

Dog Boarding in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is a good-sized town in California, but unfortunately, the city faces a lot of the same problems that larger cities face when it comes to homeless animals in the area. Addressing the needs of these stray animals, there are multiple animal shelters in the area that take in these pets until they can find new homes. Two of these shelters are The Santa Cruz Animal Shelter and the Santa Cruz SPCA.

The Santa Cruz Animal Shelter is an open-door animal shelter that accepts animals regardless of their age, pre-existing medical conditions, or breed. The shelter is known in Santa Cruz for promoting responsible pet ownership, helping pet owners prepare for emergencies, providing low-cost vaccines and microchipping, and helping hundreds of pets find new homes each year. The shelter not only cares for cats and dogs, but also birds, rodents, and some farm animals.

The Santa Cruz SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring and finding homes for homeless pets in the Santa Cruz area. The organization both rescues and rehabilitates animals to find them new homes. With donations from the public, fundraising, and adoption fees, the shelter cares for hundreds of animals each year in a humane, responsible way. The organization also works with the public to educate people on responsible pet ownership.

If you live near Santa Cruz and are looking for a new furry friend, consider stopping by one of these shelters to meet your potential new family member. Both shelters have dozens of animals ready for a new home today!
