My name is Whitney. I have worked with dogs all my life. I grew up in and out of the local humane society. I have owned two dogs. My first dog was a sweet golden retriever/cocker spaniel named Roxie. Currently I have a precious little pit/terrier named Bella. I have a deep passion for dogs and would love to care for your dog!
Caring for furry children has always been a passion. I care about their needs and enjoy every second of it! I believe that a dog sitter and walker is a great way to make your dog feel at home when you are not. It's more than a sitter, it's a friend who is there for them. I have experience at a dog daycare and boarding facility for over a year now. Whether you have a senior, puppy or high energy child, I would be more than happy to ensure they are having fun or just comfortable at home! I am Dog & Cat CPR/First Aid trained, Insulin & other meds trained, feeding, bathing, and nail clipping are all part of my experience. Please feel free to reach out, I am excited to meet you and your furry child.
From a very young age I grew up with a beautiful cocker spaniel and was always dog sitting and playing with my family. I am always dog sitting for friends and family. Dog deserve the best exercise so long walks are the best! I currently volunteer at an animal shelter every Saturday as well.

If you are looking to adopt a cuddly critter in Destin, Florida, you have a few different shelter options available to you. Both Pet Welfare and the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society house animals in need of a forever home near Destin, Florida. These organizations treat and care for abandoned, homeless animals in their community.
Pet Welfare is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter that finds a home for between 100 and 150 animals every year. The goal of Pet Welfare is to support military personnel by helping to rehome animals that need to be left behind during base transitions and deployments. As a non-profit, Pet Welfare is run by volunteers and supported by donations, fundraisers, grants, adoption fees, and other contributions.
The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society, or PAWS for short, has been helping pets find new homes for 60 years! As a private, non-profit organization, PAWS relies heavily on donations, fundraisers, and adoption fees to keep its doors open. Each year, more than 7,000 animals come through the doors of PAWS. Since 1995, the PAWS clinic has spayed and neutered over 48,000 animals to help prevent more homeless animals from entering shelters in the area. The PAWS clinic also offers medical services for low-income pet owners.
To help educate members of the public, PAWS hosts school and shelter presentations about the bond between people and animals, and about the humane society. The organization also provides educational material about owning and caring for pets.
Both organizations are always looking for supplies and monetary donations. Find out how you can help at their websites.
The annual Destin Pooch Palooza is almost upon us. In November, join other pups and pet owners at Destin’s favorite four-legged festival! The event is hosted by Friends of the Destin Dog Park. The Destin Pooch Palooza will feature vendor booths, arts and crafts, food, demonstrations, and more. The event will also include a raffle, so prepare to win a prize. Head to the Destin City Annex Parking Lot and Dog Park for all of the fun!
The annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade, held each February, will bring the spirit of Mardi Gras to the heart of Destin, Florida. At the parade, dogs will be stealing the show with fun costumes and floats! Join other pet owners in Destin with Mardi Gras beads, throws, and other parade favors.
Watch as themed floats, bicycles, golf carts, convertibles, and wagons fill the streets! Jazz music will be playing to celebrate the holiday. As one of the premier canine events along the Emerald Coast, you can be sure that dogs and dog owners from near and far will be attending the event.

While out on the ocean, don’t forget to catch one of Destin's beautiful sunsets. Dockside Watersports and Parasailing also offers jet ski and fishing boat rentals, but your pooch won’t be able to tag along for those.
