Hello there! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Heather and I’m an avid animal lover, having animals all my life as well as working in the field of veterinary care. I can’t wait to meet your family member(s) and take them on a walking adventure. In the process, enjoying their excitement for walks and giving and/or receiving a kiss or two along the way. Thank you for allowing me to walk your pup(s).

My dog is not just my dog, he’s my little brother and best friend. I’ve had three dogs over the course of my life, each has had a different personality and I have loved each differently. The point is, I know how to work with many different breeds and dog personalities. I would love the opportunity to walk or run with your dog during the day. I’m an active person who walks and bikes to work every day and am excited for the opportunity to meet your fluffy friend.
“I just want to pet all the dogs!!”

When dogs and other companion animals in the West Pensacola area fall on tough times, there are always plenty of dedicated animal advocates ready and willing to offer whatever assistance is needed.
Pensacola Humane Society is a perfect example. Originally starting life as a tiny shelter with one employee, the society was incorporated in 1943 and became a no-kill facility in 1985. Today, it provides homeless dogs and cats with food, shelter, medical care, and love until they find their forever homes, and is working towards the goal of transforming Pensacola into a no-kill community where there are enough homes for all animals.
SouthBARK Animal Rescue also performs impressive work to rescue pets in need of a helping paw. This non-profit group is committed to rescuing all breeds of dogs from high-kill shelters along the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama. A 100% volunteer-based and foster home-operated rescue, SouthBARK provides the care, rehabilitation, and love rescued pets need before placing them in loving forever homes. Offers of volunteer help, financial support, and new foster carers are always welcome and help this committed group continue its rescue efforts.
Finally, Phoenix Rising Rescue has shown a similar commitment to helping unwanted pets' needs. A foster-based rescue, this local group focuses on rescuing “Bully” breeds because they have been given something of a “bad rap” in the media. Phoenix Rising is 100% donation operated, and without community support and volunteer foster carers it would not be able to save the lives of animals in need.
Are you looking to get some exercise and fresh air with your pooch, preferably with other dog lovers? What about if you could work up a sweat to benefit a good cause? Paws on Palafox is an annual dog walk that allows you to do exactly that! Held in April at Plaza de Luna Park, found at the south end of Palafox Street, this family-friendly event is the biggest annual fundraiser for Pensacola Humane Society’s Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic. The 3K walk is always a hit with local animal lovers and their furry friends, and everyone enjoys the scenic route and the myriad pet photo op-paw-tunities along the way!
Barktoberfest is something of an institution on the annual canine social calendar in Pensacola and surrounding areas, and it’s not hard to see why. Held at Community Maritime Park, this fall event promises a day of fun in the sun for you, your pooch, and the whole family. Highlights of Barktoberfest include a huge range of pet product vendors, an agility display, exciting and hilarious doggie races, and plenty of grrr-eat giveaways. There’s even a Most Adorable Pet Contest (good luck picking a winner that isn’t your own pet!) and funds raised throughout the day go to help Pensacola Humane Society.
Does your furry friend love getting dressed up and strutting his stuff in front of an adoring crowd? If so, he’ll love this paw-some pet fashion show! Hosted by Redfox’s Animal Rescue, Pet Palooza’s Pet Fashion Show is the paw-fect opportunity for your pet to show off his best outfit and maybe pose for the pup-arazzi. But there’s plenty more for you and your dog to enjoy throughout the day, including a K9 training show, competitions, kid-friendly games, some very special furry guests, a pet photo booth, and heaps more. All the fun takes place at the Navy Exchange Shopping Mall, so check it out with your canine companion!
This annual festival offers the paw-fect excuse for you and your pet to get some exercise and spend a little quality time together. Held in September at the Bagdad Mill Site Park, Dog Days of Summer Fest features a 1-mile and half-mile fun run with pets. It’s a relaxed, fun, and affordable event for the whole family, with owners encouraged to dress their furry friends in costume. After the fun run, you and your pooch can enjoy a wiener race, canine agility demonstration, training demonstration, and twirlers and gymnasts. It’s a mutts-do for anyone looking to get out and get some fresh air with their dog!
This woof-tastic, dog-friendly event promises a day full of fun and the chance to raise funds for a very worthy cause. A Bark to Remember is hosted by Gulf Coast Health Care and designed to raise funds and awareness for the local Alzheimer's Association. And what better way to raise funds than to enjoy five hours of dog-friendly fun in Community Maritime Park! Some of the event highlights include canine contests, heaps of local vendors, a silent auction, live entertainment, delicious food and drink, and a whole lot more. The love of dogs can do amazing things, and organizers hope it can help end Alzheimer’s forever.
