My name is Sophie, and I am a dog lover through and through. My family rescued and trained three dogs while I was growing up, and they were a big part of our family. We were very involved with the rescue that saved our dogs, and I hope to make dog adoption easier for others with my commitment to dog-walking. I was a dog sitter throughout my time in college, and I love walking dogs to give them the exercise and outdoor time they need to be healthy, loving members of the family.

Hi I'm Lisa! I have always loved pets and wanted to be a veterinarian when I was little. While I did not become a vet, I have always had cats and/or dogs in my home and even at some points a lizard, bird or hamster! I love being outdoors and walk pretty much every day, even in the snow and cold! I have a very handsome dog named Bailey who loves to play tug of war and get long belly rubs. I look forward to walking and caring for your beloved doggy and to giving them an awesome walking experience!

I have loved dogs my entire life beginning with our first family dog when i was 6 years old. His name was Penny. Despite having 4 brothers and 1 sister i was the one who took our dogs for a walk. We recently had to put our dog of 18 years Gilligan down. Working from home i was able to walk him 3-5 times a day for most of his life. Also while working from home i was able to potty train and walk each day my neighbors dog Roxie.

Dog Boarding in Grayslake

Save-a-Pet is located in Grayslake, IL and is one of the main animal rescue shelters in the area for homeless cats and dogs. They are a no-kill shelter and one of the largest facilities in Lake County. They take no-kill one step further than most and never temperament test any of their dogs or cats.

They have helped have over 61,000 dogs and cats since they have opened their doors - it is simply pawtastic! They will do whatever it takes to rehome an animal, so they really live up to their mantra, "Help, Heal, Home."

They value their community and make it one of their priorities to lead classes and educational programs that help teach community members about responsible pet guardianship and the importance of spaying and neutering your animals. They also host a ton of events throughout the year to raise funds to take care of the animals that come to their shelter. Halloween parties, fundraising and adoption days, and pet festivals are just a few of their most popular community involvement events.

Another popular and large adoption center in Lake County is the Lake County Humane Society and Animal Education and Rescue. They are a non-profit organization that are special because they not only find loving homes for homeless pets but they also put a huge portion of their efforts into helping the community through their numerous main educational programs.

They have humane investigations, a community outreach programs that help low-income communities take care of their pets properly, a community pet therapy program, and an education program that teaches children proper pet care and treatment.
