Dog Boarding in Frankenmuth

Bay County Animal Control and the Humane Society of Bay County together operate the city-owned shelter facility serving the pets and people throughout Bay County and the surrounding cities. The shelter care center rescues, houses, and cares for abandoned and neglected animals until they can be placed in loving, permanent homes.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the humane society, every animal that comes through the shelter doors receives thorough care, vaccines, deworming, a spay/neuter procedure, and a shot at a new beginning through their adoption program. The society also offers services and programs for the local community, including an affordable spay/neuter program, a Trap Neuter Return program for the community’s stray cats, a foster care program, temporary care of pets from domestic violence situations, a Pet Trust, pet owner resources, a pet food pantry, and humane education programs.

The mission of the Humane Society of Bay City is to protect, save, and enhance the lives of the community's animals and work toward improved animal welfare. The organization is committed to combating pet overpopulation and bringing attention to this important issue. Bay County Animal Control is also a valuable resource for the local community, providing animal licensing, a lost pet program, and enforcing county ordinances.

The success of the shelter depends upon the assistance of compassionate volunteers in maintaining projects, programs, and other shelter activities. Through the collaboration between the Humane Society of Bay County, Bay County Animal Control, and a network of animal loving volunteers, they are making a positive difference in the lives of dogs and cats every day.
