My name is Kiefer, I'm an enthusiastic animal-lover living and working in San Francisco. I grew up with a pit bull/Great Dane mutt named Bandit and a couple of cats. After Bandit, we adopted a border collie/black lab mix and a greyhound/black lab mix from our local animal shelter. When I moved away for college, I filled my dog void by spending ~10 hr/week at the Humane Society as a senior volunteer; I was responsible for cleaning, feeding, basic agility and training, and off-site socialization and exercise. I've had a great love for dogs since I was a child and miss having them as a constant in my life. I aim to provide your dog with all of my affection and attention!

Woof! My name is Kelly and I can't wait to meet your best friend. I am a mature, responsible paralegal student and I abide by the rule of paw--happiness and fun! I have been a dog owner all my life (which has included training classes) and I am incredibly devoted to the development of positive interaction and relationship building with canines. I am keenly aware of canine communication signals and positive guidance methods in order to further mutual cooperation with the client. I confess to my "happy-goofy" nature with my clients and I am NOT embarrassed to be seen and heard by others using high pitched "happy talk" on a walk! Let's meet!

“Big or small I love them all!”

As I grew I knew I wanted a career that had something to do with dogs. In high school I got a job as a groomers assistant and loved it. After four and a half years it just wasn't the passion I was looking for. The passion was right I front of me. I have been training my dog to do all kinds of tricks since the beginning . I'm now a certified dog trainer graduated by the ABC animal behavior college. I have two dogs a giant Doberman pincher and a tiny miniature pincher also 3 cats.

About Dog Training in Albany, CA

Training Fun Fact #1:

Looking for a dog that is both dignified and fun? It’s the Miniboz for you. The Miniature Schnauzer parent gives this pooch a serious bearded look, and the Boston Terrier lineage throws in the spunk and spark. This dog may be small, but they are also energetic. They will need both mental and physical exercise to keep them happiest. Try agility; it’s the perfect sport for this agile canine.

Training Fun Fact #2:

Older dogs with health issues like arthritis may not be able to go for long hikes like they used to. Even though they often rest and enjoy dozing off at every opportunity doesn’t mean their brains don’t need a workout. To give your old-timer pooch a task to be proud of, teach them how to stack rings. It’s a great mental challenge.

Training Fun Fact #3:

It’s a fact. Owning a dog often means a dirty floor. Sure, you clean up daily, and it seems your vacuum is never put away. The mess is worth all of the effort, but wouldn’t it be nice if your dog could help keep the house clean? It’s entirely possible when you have them wipe their own paws. Patience and persistence in training will keep your floors sparkling – almost!
