Aberdeen Lake Park is a puptastic place to enjoy a beautiful day with your pooch. Go for a leashed walk on the two-mile lake trail and across the wooden bridge for a relaxing stroll with views of the water. Don't forget to pack some food, as there are plenty of nice spots to enjoy a picnic with Fido, including a large shelter.

Ray's Mill Park is another woofderful spot to visit with your best friend. Located next to a 14-acre pond, this park also offers lovely water views while you and Fido take a leashed stroll around the area or hang out at the deck. Martin Park is a 50-acre parcel that has gone to the dogs, in a good way! Located in the neighboring town of Southern Pines, Martin Park is not your typical dog park. Aside from the usual open play spaces, this park features hiking trails, wooded areas, and a creek, making it the pawfect place for Fido to socialize with other doggos and explore the outdoors at the same time. Note that Martin Park is only partially fenced, so it is best suited for canines who respond well to verbal commands. Pet waste stations with bags are located throughout the park in case you forgot to bring some.

Part of the unique Sandhills region of North Carolina, the 165-acre Reservoir Park offers a beautiful and peaceful environment where you and Fido can enjoy hiking, kayaking, and picnicking. The Morganton Road Sports Complex in neighboring Southern Pines is a great place for family fun. Of course, that includes Fido, too! This complex houses fields for baseball, softball, and soccer, with the latter also offering picnic tables and playground equipment. If Fido's not a fan of sports, you can take him for a walk on the paved pathways instead. Less than a mile from the Morganton Road Sports Complex is Pool Park, a neighborhood park with a large open field that's used for sports and community events. Pool Park also has a walking trail where you can get some exercise in with your pooch.
