About 33 miles south of Aripeka, in Dunedin, Florida, is the Honeymoon Island State Park, and on the southern tip of this island, there's a designated dog beach! Although dogs are allowed here, they're supposed to be on a leash at all times. You and your dog will have a great time playing in the waves and walking on the soft sand of Honeymoon Island. There are also several trails surrounding the beach where you can take a long stroll with your dog. There is a small fee to get into the state park, but it's well worth all the fun you'll have!36

Northwest Tampa is about 40 miles south of Aripeka, and this is where you'll find the Logan Gate community and the Logan Gate Dog Park. Logan Gate is a quiet and peaceful community, and the Logan Gate Dog Park is full of friendly dogs and humans. Whether you own a large or small dog, you'll appreciate that there are sections for dogs of different sizes to play safely.
