The City of Arnold is not far from the conveniences and amenities of metropolitan St. Louis, but still has the ambiance and charm of country-living.  Residents with pups have places to visit, and travelers with dogs will have plenty of sights and locales to explore. The city has seven veterinary clinics which take care of all routine medical care a pup may need.

Five Guys on Michigan Avenue is a dog-friendly restaurant that cooks up a large assortment of burgers and sandwiches. People may sit with their dogs at the outdoor tables. Teszars Woods Conservation area will give a leashed pup and its person a whiff of that fresh country air as they explore together either that quarter-mile or half-mile hike through the forest and grassland.

The Arnold City Limits has much to offer its dogs. There are two Paw Parks that are free of charge and open to the public. One Paw Park is located at the City Park, and the other at the Ferd B. Lang Park. Both have a one-acre, fully fenced enclosure, and a separate space for the small dogs. The ground of the Paw Parks are mostly grass, and there trees within and around the dog parks. The Paw Parks have water fountains designed for people and dogs. There are benches for the human companions, and doggie waste bags are supplied by the dog park.

Sunset Hills is twelve miles north of Arnold. This is a place where dogs can find some great outdoor entertainment. The Kitun Dog Park lets dogs run and play leash-free in a fully fenced grassy enclosure. A separate space make it safe for small dogs to play.  There is water available on-site. Human companions will find a place to sit under a shade tree. Waste baggies stocked by the dog park make it easy for people to clean up after their pup. The dog park opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at sunset. An annual membership must be purchased from the city.

The neighborhood of St. Louis Hills is located fifteen miles north of Arnold. Southwest City Dog Park at Willmore Park is located off of Hampton Avenue. This fully fenced, grassy enclosure gives dogs the freedom to run and make some new furry pals unencumbered by a leash. There is a separate enclosure for the small dogs. Dogs have some pieces of agility equipment to exercise and train on. There is water available for dog and person. Human companions have plenty of seats from which to supervise their pups as they play. This dog park requires an annual registration and fee to the neighborhood association that manages the dog park.

The City Limits of Ballwin is about seventeen miles north of Arnold. Tails & Trails dog park at Queeny Park is a five-acre fenced tract of grass, dirt, and trees that gives dogs a place to pick up those paws and run free of a leash. Small dogs have their own separate space for safer play. Dogs also have access to a creek and a small lake, so be sure to pack some towels! Drinking water is available for dogs and their people. Human companions may sit in the pavilion where wi-fi is provided. This dog park requires registration and a fee payable to St. Louis County.

The city limits of Creve Coeur are twenty-one miles from Arnold. The Dog Park at Conway Park is a two-acre, fully fenced enclosure for dogs to run leash free and just have a tail waggin’ good time with their four-legged buddies. A half-acre separate enclosure is set aside for the small dogs. This dog park has kiddie pools in the summer for dogs to cool down in. The doggie waste bags are readily stocked by the dog park. A nearby lake has a walking path around its perimeter so a person with a leashed dog can enjoy getting some exercise outdoors, too. Use of the dog park requires registration and an annual fee payable to the city's parks department.
