Plan an outdoor adventure about 21 miles northwest of here at Crystal Springs Recreation Area. The 1,800-acre property offers three trails, picnic facilities, and camping areas. Spend the day exploring, or stay for the night. Dogs can join you if they're on a leash and you pick up their waste.

You and Fido can really "ruff" it at Raven Cliff Recreation Area, located about 11.7 miles west of town. This facility has a picnic area, day use section, and primitive campsites. Hike through the woods along Cripple Creek with your furry pal or play in the open fields. Dogs are allowed to join you if they're under control and on a leash.
