With views overlooking Toms River, Berkeley Shores is such a picturesque neighborhood. Some of the best views to be had around here can be found at Good Luck Point, a 365 acre parcel of land that is famous for its natural diversity. There are several habitats here, home to everything from migrating birds to ancient woodland, all of which will no doubt get Fido's tail wagging big time. There are several hiking trails criss-crossing their way through the land, offering up some of the best dog walks in town. If you and your pooch would like a bite to eat afterwards, Martell's Water's Edge has 15 dog-friendly dockside tables, and specialize in the freshest of seafood.

Holly Park
Holly Park is quite a small neighborhood, but provides access to one of the best parks in town. Potter Creek features 115 acres of lush greenery, and with its location right by the bay, is home to a number of species of migratory birds. There are forests, wetlands, marshlands and more scattered throughout the park, as well as a hiking trail that showcases the best of all of this. While dogs are allowed to explore the park with their owners, you do need to keep your pooch on a lead at all times, and bring along some doggie bags and drinking water too.

Mill Creek
Mill Creek is an incredibly scenic neighborhood and is home to a lush parcel of greenery right by the water. The Mill Creek County Park is located at the point where Mill Creek meets Toms River, meaning gorgeous waterfront views all around you. Not only will you find three playgrounds and a basketball court here, but also multiple secluded picnic areas, and cedar chip walking trails. There is even a large conservation area within the park, which is home to a number of unique varieties of plants. Dogs are welcome throughout this park, but will need to be kept on a lead, and owners must always clean up after them.

Glen Cove
Glen Cove is another of Bayville's waterfront neighborhoods, and, with it being relatively tucked away, is quite a peaceful and tranquil area. This is where you will find the sandy Butler's Beach, which was recently revamped to feature newer and more modern facilities. One of the highlights of the beach is the 195 foot fishing and crabbing dock, as well as the large Alexandra's Playground. There are a few picnic areas dotted around the beach, making this the pawfect spot in which to spend a few hours with Fido. Don't forget to bring a lead and doggie bags with you, as well as some drinking water, which would be even more essential on a hot day.

Beachwood
The quiet small town of Beachwood is right next to Bayville, and boasts a couple of pawtastic parks. The largest is Mayo Park, which is extremely popular for picnics thanks to its beautifully designed gazebo, as well as its paved path that follows along the river. Birch and Surf Park is slightly smaller, but still has a couple of sports facilities, a spacious playground and plenty of trees, shrubs and flowers for Fido to sniff about in.
