Dog Areas in Belfair

Belfair is a census-designated place with a population of just under 4,000. Originally, the place was called Clifton, but was later renamed because there were too many places with the same name. It was renamed by Mrs. Murray, the postmaster at the time, who took the name from a book she was reading.

Although it's small, Belfair is a relatively pawpular tourist destination thanks to its proximity to beautiful recreation areas, like Belfair State Park and Dabob Bay. Its population soars in the warm months, when tourists come from all over to explore Tahuya State Forest. Belfair is the last town where travelers can find services and modern conveniences before em-bark-ing on a magical adventure in the wilderness. Tourists with pups will be happy to know there's a veterinary clinic in Belfair.

Although there aren’t any dog-friendly restaurants in this small town, there are a lot of them in the near vicinity, around 10 miles away from Belfair in Port Orchard. There, you can find the Central Dock, The Crow's Nest, Whiskey Gulch Coffee Co., and Slaughter County Brewing Company, just to name a few. Be sure to bring a leash and water bowl to all establishments.
