Belgrade is located in the middle of the Gallatin Valley, just 20 minutes northwest of Bozeman. This fast growing community combines a small town atmosphere with city amenities. Whether you’re looking for a new pair of cowboy boots, a farm to table meal, or a place to fuel up before your next adventure, Belgrade has you covered. This town loves dogs so much, it has six veterinary clinics.

Belgrade is in no shortage of pupperific parks. Leash up your pup and check out Clarkin Park. With a large grassy area for sniffing around, this park will definitely keep your furry friend’s attention. The gazebo, benches, and picnic tables also make this a great spot to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

Memorial Park is a pawsome green patch in the middle of a residential area. Take a couple laps around the park’s perimeter so your pooch can get some exercise. If you have two legged children in tow, stop by the playground for some fun in the sun.

If Belgrade is just a stop on your itinerary, make a reservation at Quality Inn or La Quinta Inn and Suites Belgrade Bozeman Airport. Both of these furtastic hotels welcome four legged guests. Your pooch can get some shut eye in one of their comfy rooms and be ready for the next day’s adventure.

No bones about it, your doggo will love spending time in Belgrade!

It’s easy to see why Lewis and Clark Park is a favorite among locals. Situated right in the heart of Belgrade, this pawsome park is just calling your pup’s name. They’ll love trotting around the open lawn or barking up one of the shade trees. Since this park features picnic tables, a playground, sport courts, and soccer fields, it’s usually quite busy. Your pup will have the chance to meet new friends, both of the two legged and four legged kind. Lions Park is also in this neighborhood. It’s mostly made up of ball fields. Bring your furry pal and watch a couple teams battle it out, or stop by when games are not in play and let your pup romp around the grass.

Is your pooch begging for a walk? Grab the leash and make your way over to Kathy Hollensteiner Park. This park features a playground, climbing rock, and a picnic pavilion. But your canine buddy will be more interested in the large lawn. They can roam around checking for new smells, or follow the dirt path that runs around the edge of the park. For a change of scenery, pop over to Kiwanis Park. Let your pooch’s nose be the guide as you wander around. Picnic tables are available, so pack a sandwich and some biscuits for your pup and stick around for lunch.

If your pup has been lying around all day, it’s time for a trip to Sunnyside Park. With a spacious grass area, this park is a great spot for some doggy cardio. Take a brisk walk around the field to get your pup’s heart rate going. They’ll love feeling the warm sun on their back and breathing in the fresh Montana air. Be sure to bring water, so your pal can have a refreshing drink after the workout. Head over to Prairie View Park for even more room to roam. Your pup will agree, there simply isn’t a better dog park then Gallatin Regional Park’s Dog Park.  Furtunatley, it’s just 15 minutes away in Bozeman. With 13 acres for off leash fun, this park will have your pal barking for joy! It has everything your pup can imagine: a specially designed fetch field, shade pavilions for relief from the sun, separate areas for small and large dogs, and water. As if that wasn’t enough, this park also has three ponds for doggy paddling and swimming. If your pooch prefers walking to swimming, there are plenty of off leash trails to explore.  Good luck trying to get your pup to leave this park!

Pack up your pooch and drive 20 minutes southeast of Belgrade to Valley West Park. Located in Bozeman, this furrific park is the perfect place to spend some quality time with your pooch. A nice system of paved walkways zigs and zags around the park. As you follow the trails you’ll pass by Meyers Lake, a playground, and sand volleyball courts. Scattered trees add to the park’s beauty and give shade during those dog days of summer. After your walk, find a bench next to the water and take a couple minutes to enjoy the scenery. Be sure to use the clean up bags that are provided.
