Dog Areas in Bella Villa

1 Groomers

Bella Villa is the equivalent of a couple of city blocks. There is not much in Bella Villa; in fact, it's so small that it's known for being a place where the traffic laws are vigorously enforced by the one police car! This community is sandwiched in with a large segment of unincorporated St. Louis County.

While it doesn't have any dog-friendly amenities of its own, you'll find more things to do with Fido in nearby areas. Bella Villa economics have been enhanced by the opening up of a casino in the neighboring city of Lemay. The city park of Lemay is within walking distance of Bella Villa. It is a hub of neighborhood activities for children and with families with dogs. The walking paths in the new Lemay park are frequented by many dog walkers. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times, but there is a spot for picnics, and several pavilions are available for rental for parties. Dogs can eat a nice picnic lunch with their favorite humans at the park, or can join in a late afternoon barbecue.

There are sidewalks in Bella Villa which making a walk to the Lemay Park both a great destination and a good opportunity for easy exercise for dog and person. The park will be nicer in a few years when the trees get a little bigger. Currently, there is not much shade at this park. It is also a place where St. Louis County offers summer time events such as outdoor movies. Dogs are always a welcome addition, as long as they remain on leash.
