Bellevue is the biggest suburb of Seattle in Washington, and CNN listed it the number one place in America to live and start a business. Dog lovers agree, and there are estimated to be more than 30,000 dogs living in the city of Bellevue. With all the dogs in town, you know there are plenty of pet-friendly places to visit with your pup.

Like hiking? Mercer Slough Nature Park Trails has seven trails in all levels of difficulty. It is Lake Washington’s biggest wetland and has over 320 acres with more than 170 species of animals. Some of the trails are difficult and require experience, but many of the trails are beginner-friendly and take you through forests, marshes, wetlands, and meadows with a feeling of being in the wilderness. You can even pick blueberries on some of the trails.

Another great hike is the Lake to Lake Trail & Greenway, which runs from Lake Washington to Lake Sammamish. This trail is approximately 10 miles through wetlands, forests, historic farms, and more than 800 acres of parkland passing through nine different parks. You can see deer, foxes, herons, eagles, raccoons, squirrels, and much more. This trail is good for beginners as well as experts and there are plenty of stops along the way. Be sure to enjoy your stay in Bellevue!
