Just a short 11-mile jaunt north of Blacks Creek, the community of Southeast Boise has plenty of shopping, dining and access to beautiful local parks. Cypress Park’s 7.3 acres of land allows on-leash dogs to enjoy the park anytime it is open. From sunrise until 10 AM, and from 4 PM until sunset, the park designates 1.4 acres to be utilized as an off-leash dog park! Like Cypress Park’s off-leash time designation, Manitou Park operates in the same way; it allows dogs to run around uninhibited from sunrise to 10 AM, and again from 4 PM to sunset. Leashed dogs are allowed anytime the park is open.

Boise, Idaho is one of the largest locales in Idaho, making it a fun hub for dining, shopping and entertainment easily accessible from Interstate 84 and Interstate 184, and a short 15-minute drive from Blacks Creek. Nineteen miles north of Blacks Creek, Quail Ridge is conveniently located near community golf courses, schools, and outdoor recreation. Sunset Park is 10 acres of concrete footpaths, and large open lawn areas that on-leash dog are welcomed to roam; for off-leash dog friendly entertainment, 4.3 acres have been selected to let dogs play off leash with each other from sunrise to 10 AM every day. Castle Hills Park has a similar setup as Sunset Park bysetting aside 2.2 acres of designated space for dogs to be off leash from sunrise to 10 AM. However, unlike Sunset Park, Castle Hills Park does allow dogs to be off-leash again from 4 PM to sunset.
