(about 20 miles north), the place is surrounded by multiple recreation areas and a few major cities such as Germantown and Gaithersburg, which are home to pet-friendly eateries, shops, and about 14 veterinary clinics combined.

Black Hill Regional Dog Park, located within Black Hill Regional Park, is a nice spot for dog owners in Boyds. The dog park is a fenced, off-leash extension of the 2,200-acre park, which features multi-purpose nature trails and a host of water activities on Little Seneca Lake. Leashed dogs are welcome to explore the entire park, but owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pooches.

About 5 minutes to the south of Boyds, Germantown should be your first destination for more pet-friendly opportunities and fun!
