Bring your whole family over to Bill Vance Park while you are in town. This is the pawfect place to get some exercise. Amenities offered at this park include exercise equipment, a playground, and a walking trail. Your dog can join you as long as you keep her on a leash. You will need to bring your own doggie waste bags. There are water fountains at the park and at the exercise equipment, but you will want to have some with you on the walking trail. Shiloh Park is a decent-sized park with a lot to do. Here, you will find a splash pad, playground, picnic areas, and lots of open fields. There is a walking path the circles through the park. Dogs aren't allowed on the splash pad except on doggie play days. Parts of this park are closed in the winter. Your dog will need to be on a leash, and you will need to bring your own provisions for cleaning up after your pooch. Bring water for your pup as well because there are no doggie fountains. This park has the longest walking trail in the area so it does get pretty busy.

Brandon City Park is located behind Shiloh Park. The entrance can be a little hard to find. This park is a little smaller, but it does have a walking trail. It has a smaller playground as well. This park is open all year long. You can bring your leashed dog to play and walk here. There is no running water and no restrooms at this park, so you may want to bring drinking water. The best part about this park is that it doesn't get as crowded as the other park tends to, so it's pawfect if you have a shy pup.

The neighborhood of Cara is located in Jackson, situated about fourteen miles from Brandon. Cara has something that you won't be able to find for miles around: a bark park! Brees Bark Park is an off-leash park where you can let your dog socialize with other pups. It is located next to the Cara animal shelter. There is a fee to get in. The fee goes to the upkeep of the park as well as other fees incurred by the shelter. Since the dogs in the shelter also exercise here, no dogs are ever left unsupervised. There is a water station and a cleaning station, so all you need to do is BYOB (Bring Your Own Beast!).
