Buckner, Missouri is named after Alexander Buckner. He was a lawyer who took an interest in agriculture and therefore laid the foundation for the city to come to life. The region is known for being on the rail line, but he gave it the purpose for that rail line. Not only did the city then embrace the agriculture, but they also embraced him and made his home a historic site. As you walk through Buckner, you will see many historic signs that describe the town's historical significance.
If you want an unique experience, then you should head over to Buckner Truck and Tractor Pull. They have a display where you can see the tractors and trailers that they use in their show. You may even learn something you didn't know about before. When you're finished, check out the actual show!
For a more adult time, you could stop on over at the Bonehill View Distillery. They have encased a moonshine still right in the heart of an old mill. The building is amazing and authentic but the cocktails are strong and have a kick that can't be beat!
