South Buzzards Bay
South Buzzards Bay cozies up to the water and offers dogs and their best friends plenty to do. The Bourne Town National Resources park snuggles up to the Buzzards Bay town line like a puppy into the one blanket they’re not supposed to use. You can walk there from Buzzard Bay’s dog-friendly restaurant, Stomping Grounds Grille, which welcomes dogs at outdoor tables. If you’re up for a real challenge, however, you want to explore Cape Cod Canal Bikeway. This 13.5 mile trail is concrete and complete with great views of the canal.

East Buzzards Bay
East Buzzards Bay favorite East Wind Lobster and Grille is a great place to grab a bite with your dog during the warm summer months. There are outdoor tables for your convenience, and plenty of cold water to go around. if you want to reward a patient pup with a great walk, Beaver Dam Wetlands is only a seven minute drive outside of East Buzzards Bay. Just outside of West Buzzards Bay is Nightingale Pond Conservation Land. Though less than a two-minute drive from Buzzards Bay, Nightingale Pond draws crowds from the entire surrounding area. It’s of several wetlands in the area that seeks to preserve the natural beauty of the Cape. Nightingale Pond Conservation Land is also small enough that you can enjoy it all in an outing. A trip around the namesake pond only takes 20 minutes or so. That’s plenty of time for your dog to relax without making you too tired to function.

Myles Standish State Forest
