The best place to go to socialize your pup would be the Old City Lake Park which takes up 18 acres right along the shore of City Lake. There's fishing piers, fishing spots on the bank, swimming areas, picnic shelters, a playground, lighted tennis courts, and other recreational ballfields. Dogs are welcome at the park, in the swimming areas, and allowed to run in the enclosed tennis courts as long as they remain on a leash. Its just a short walk away to Tacos y Mas, a restaurant serving tacos and Mexican courses that provides outdoor dog-friendly seating.

Myrtle Springs
Myrtle Springs is a neighborhood on the southeastern edge of the city, with miles of farmland and forests. The area is pretty picturesque for those looking to get out of the city, and even provides a dog-friendly spot for Fido to run around known as Two Acres Lake. The lake has a two-acre park that sits on the shorelines of the lake, and provides large areas for running and playing, with fishing docks, a boat launch, and a swimming area. The neighborhood of Whitton is pretty bare, mostly taken up by farmland, forests, and the 355-acre Purtis Creek State Park. Edgewood is a small town 10 miles north of Canton that despite its small size still provides a dog-friendly place to bring Fido.
