Relax by the water or enjoy the shade of the trees. There are several walking paths through the park, all rated easy to moderate. You won’t work up a running sweat, but your dog will still enjoy it!

The Rippy Callahan Recreational Park is a fourteen minute drive down the road from Carbondale. This Central Jermyn gem is a large, active park with plenty to offer. Your leashed dog won’t even mind the tether when you take them on a tour of the grounds. The extensive green space is punctuated with sports fields, from soccer to baseball. You can take the path around the playground to add a few more steps to your exercise regimen. When you’re tired out, you can relax. There’s a picnic area with a shade stand to protect from the sun, so you can stay all day.
