Dog Areas in Caswell Beach

If you're looking for a laid-back seaside getaway with Fido, look no further than Caswell Beach. The least populated of all the beaches in the Brunswick Islands, Caswell Beach is a small, sleepy town on the Atlantic Ocean, endowed with calm shores and lush marsh. While there are no animal hospitals in town, the nearest facility is only an 8-minute drive away on neighboring Oak Island.

The last lighthouse to be built in North Carolina in 1958, the Oak Island Lighthouse stands 153 feet tall on Caswell Beach. Stop by with your pup to view and take photos of this cylindrical sentinel, and to explore the lighthouse grounds that are open all year round. Note that parking at the base of the tower is limited to 30 minutes, but it should be enough time to marvel at this historic structure.

Don't miss the chance to have some fun in the sand with your pooch on Caswell Beach's dog-friendly beach strand! Canines that are leashed and well-behaved are allowed on the beach throughout the year, while those that are not leashed, but under control are permitted during designated times.

Come experience the natural assets and serene atmosphere of Caswell Beach with your best friend!
