Central Square is a small town in Oswego County, New York. This town is known for its green lawns and amazing atmosphere. The town is welcoming of visitors, including their furry companions. A short drive from the Three Mile Bay Wildlife Management Area and the Oneida Lake, this village is perfect for those who love the outdoors and all that nature has to offer. Central Square is full of small streams that are perfect for a quick break to stretch your legs before finding somewhere cozy to relax for the night. You will want plenty of towels in the car for these adventures!

The town only needs one animal hospital to service the many cats and dogs that live with the residents of Central Square. Just south of the village are three small parks where many visitors and residents enjoy some mutts-needed time outdoors. This rural area doesn’t have chain restaurants or a main strip where you will find busy shops, but if you are looking for a low-key spot to enjoy a quiet, restful weekend with your dog, pack a bag full of waste bags, snacks, towels and treats and be on your way to Central Square for a barkin’ good time!

Without chain restaurants and shops, this town encourages locals to get back to basics and enjoy what life and the outdoors have to offer. The location of this neighborhood allows easy access to other towns if you are looking for structured adventures for your furry pals. A quick trip north will take you to Mallory and Hastings, while heading south will take you to Brewerton. Whether you choose to stay in Central Square or venture to the surrounding neighborhoods, you will find plenty of room to run with your dog so make sure you bring a good leash and harness for the trip!
