Take your special pal to English Springs Park to enjoy some green space. Walk or jog on the trail that circles the pond in this facility. There are some open fields and tables here where you can enjoy a picnic in the park with your furry friend. Dogs are permitted in parks, provided they're on a leash and you pick up after them.

Another pawtastic park in the area is Grand Avenue Park. This 12-acre facility features playgrounds and ball fields. Three paths connect to a trailhead at this park. For an easy hike, select the Oak Grove Loop and go for a 3/4-mile walk. If you want a more challenging workout, the 3.2-mile Grand Avenue Trail offers a moderately strenuous hike. Dogs on a leash are welcome to join you here.

Enjoy some open space or connect to a trail at Veterans Park off Chino Hills Parkway. This 20-acre facility is mostly open fields. From here, you can hop on the Coral Ridge Trail for a moderate hike. The pathway is four miles long and connects to Coral Ridge Park. You can bring leashed dogs along on the trail. Remember to bring water and waste bags.

When you want to spend the day shopping in a dog-friendly atmosphere, head to The Shoppes at Chino Hills. This open-air mall has over 60 stores, including a number of establishments that welcome pets. Enjoy strolling along Main Street and City Center Drive with your pooch. Make sure you keep your special pal on a leash and under control. Bring along bags to clean up any waste while you're here.
