Chrisman, Illinois is a small town that's located in close proximity to many dog-friendly cities. While there isn't much for you and your pup to do in Chrisman itself, the fact that there are so many things so close by makes it a prime destination for exploring the county. The closest vet clinic is in Paris, just over 15 minutes away.
Georgetown City Park is about twelve miles away. This lovely, well-maintained park is home to walking trails as well as playgrounds and ball fields. The downside of this park is that, while there is a restroom, it's almost always locked. Remember to bring your own water and doggie waste bags. This park is patrolled by the police and you will be asked to leave at dark.
Need a little more adventure? Forest Glen Preserve is 1,800 acres of natural land located right outside of Georgetown and within the county line. This is a dog's paradise! There's so much to see and sniff here that your pooch won't know what to do first! This natural expanse has no running water, so make sure you bring your own. Wear your favorite walking shoes, because you are going to want to get lost in nature for a while. Make sure your pup pal is also on a sturdy leash or harness.
