Ray Lawrence Park is a lovely neighborhood park with many shaded spaces just perfect for a picnic. The nine-acre park has plenty of space for you and your pooch to wander about on leash as you walk the short road and wander through the open recreational areas. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches for a rest after that waggerific walk. Bring along lunch for you and Fido and enjoy a little more time in the beautiful outdoors. No restroom facilities are available in this neighborhood park. Little League Park nearby has a half mile walking trail around the park for a pleasant leashed stroll.

The HIghland Dog Park, located in Highland Park, features separate both small dog (25 lbs or less) and large dog (over 25 lbs) areas. The small dog area can also be used for less active, shy, or senior dogs of any size. The park offers drinking water for humans and canines, benches and picnic tables, a ‘fur-gola’, shaded areas, a walking trail, and agility equipment. Membership is required for park admittance, so plan ahead before you go. Also in this neighborhood is Lansden Park, a small area with plenty of benches and some open space for a leashed walk.
