Clinton is a small town in Maryland, only 15 miles from Washington D.C. The town has been around since the 1770s, but has gone through a few name changes since the civil war. One thing that hasn't changed is the love and care the town shows for its four-legged residents, with two dedicated animal hospitals, a dog-friendly downtown, and numerous green spaces to take Fido.

The Louise F Cosca Regional Park is one of the best places to go to for Clinton residents, with over 690 acres of area surrounded by dense woods, green fields, and multiple ponds scattered throughout. The park is great for dog's looking for a walk, a day's hike, or a night out camping. There's camping sites, picnic shelters, dirt trails, and fishing spots that are dog-friendly to leashed pups.

For more camping and walking opportunities, travel to the Tinkers Creek Stream Valley Park, which is full of rural woods and hiking trails that travel the creek. The area is undeveloped and can get you and Fido closer to nature. While the park doesn't require dogs to be on a leash, the area is not fenced-in, so be sure your pup has good recall. Don't forget to also bring water and clean-up bags for your pup!

From short walks to camping experiences, Clinton brings out the best places for you and Fido.
