This former mill-town used to be a center of manufacturing, but has since settled into its own as the pet-friendly waterfront called Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The name comes from the Unami language, and translates to "elegant ground place." The locals call it Conshy, and your dog calls it his favorite place to hike a trail! Conshy is home to dozens of hiking trails, keeping Fido happy on his feet! There are also tons of dog-friendly restaurants to grab a bite to eat in the outside seating area where you can tie up your doggo's leash for the feast. The pet-friendliness doesn't stop here!

In Conshohocken, there are 7 veterinarians in the neighboring suburbs and plenty of pet stores to get your pup everything he needs. At the heart of the town is the Schuylkill River, which flows over a 135-mile swath of land offering plenty of places to splash. You and Fido can also check out the annual Conshohocken Funfest. The festival features either single mile-long fun walk or a 3-mile long run you can do with your dog. Stocked with live bands, food vendors, and good times the fun times at the festival is an accurate surmise of Conshy!

Does your dog fidget his legs in his sleep, dreaming of running the Iditarod? Well, this neighborhood named after the suburb is the place to be! In Conshohocken, you can enter one of the multiple access points of the Schuylkill River Trail, which runs almost 130 miles from Philadelphia to Parkerford. Is your dog content to just relax by your feet as you enjoy a cold one? If so, the Whitemarsh neighborhood is the spot for you two! In Whitemarsh, you will find Brittingham's Pub — a place dedicated to the "pub mentality", which means a friendly open atmosphere welcoming the doggos! You can enjoy a decent selection of beers, but what really keeps the locals coming back are the dessert cocktails. Try the Espresso Martini or The Irish Potato! For food, go with the pot pie croquettes. Another great dog-friendly restaurant in Whitemarsh is the Spring Mill Cafe, which is a little more upscale, but still pet-friendly. At Spring Mill, you can dine on sophisticated takes like the filet mignon au bordelaise or a falafel burger. Yum!
