Walking through the neighborhood streets of Coral Spring Lakes is very pleasant with attractive single-story homes set well back from the road behind wide grassy yards. There is no sidewalk in these areas, but traffic is sparse and slow and you will feel comfortable walking your dog on a loose leash or navigating the moderately flat terrain with your pup at your side throughout the area. The homes have front yards that face onto the street while their backyards are on the canal.

Throughout the neighborhood, you will feel slightly cooler breezes coming from the canal, but since most of these neighborhood streets do not allow you to approach the waterway, it can still be a very hot walk on hot Florida days. Most of the walking around this neighborhood is similar with some areas, like the Hills, offering larger yards but generally all neighborhoods are pretty similar in this area.

There are a few regional parks to break up your walk like Betti Stradling Park just north of the neighborhood. Further south, Mullins Park offers several ball fields as well as grassy fields where you and your dog can enjoy running on a loose leash or playing a game of fetch or frisbee.

Southwest of Coral Spring Lakes, Dr. Paul's Dog Park is nestled within Westchester Lake Park. This is a great part to walk around with your dog since it offers a lovely trail along the lake and natural shorelines where your pup can get to experience calm water and natural settings. Always be cautious of alligators when walking around Florida lakes! This park also provides a wide grassy area for the dogs to run around in as well as lots of tree cover to keep them cool on hot summer days. The park is divided into an area for large and small dogs for safe play.
