Nine miles is all that stands between you and Pelishek-Tiffany Nature Trail. This is another one of the infamous Rails-to-Trails efforts. You will love how they took these 6 miles of unused rail corridor and turned it into something that you and your dog can walk happily through. It is a peaceful trail that runs in between the cities of Clinton and Allens Grove. You can visit all year-round. In the winter, it is even open to snowmobiles! This is a great way to enjoy nature and see exactly the same sights as you would if you were traveling in the rail cars of the past.
Dog Paddle Beach is a great place for you to come and go for a swim with your dog all year-round. If you have an arthritic dog or one requires physical therapy, this is a great spot to let him enjoy some relaxed swimming. You’re more than welcome to join your dog. If you don’t feel like it, though, he can swim with someone in the facility! This is an indoor pool, only 16 miles from you, that is designed and focused on your fur baby’s enjoyment and well-being.
Canine Corners Dog Park is a little bit of a drive at 20 miles, but you and your dog are sure to have a barktastic time playing here. There is a fee to play, but it all goes to the upkeep of the park. They provide water all year long, poop bags, and a safe place to play. They take aggressive behavior very seriously and will not allow it. It is a great place to meet new fur buddies in a safe way. There are plenty of shaded spots to sit so you can relax while watching Fido make some new fur-iends.
It will take you about a 20-mile car ride to get to Milton Dog Park, but once you are here, you will be so glad that you came to visit. There are three fenced in areas for Fido to run and play in. One of these areas contains a good sized agility park for Fido to show off his impressive skills. You can also walk along the trails that are within the gated dog area. When you are all done playing, you can stop by the washing station and clean your pal’s paws before the trip back home. The best part is, it’s all off-leash!
