Daytona Beach Shores is a small city located in Volusia County, Florida. The main attractions here are the beautiful beaches, but there are lots of hotels and pet-friendly places to stay the night, such as the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort and the Atlantic Ocean Palm Inn. There are two veterinary clinics located in Daytona Beach Shores, with more in the surrounding areas of Daytona Beach and Port Orange.

Unfortunately, your pup isn’t allowed on the beach at Daytona Beach Shores, but Frank Rendon Park offers a puptown alternative where you can enjoy views of the golden sand and blue sea. There is some grass for your furry friend to sniff and explore, as well as picnic tables and grills to enjoy some grub in the sun. There is also a wooden observation deck to take in the views of the Daytona Beach Shores coastline. You can find waste bags for your dog here, in case you fur-got!

While Daytona Beach Shores doesn’t have beach access for your pup, you can head to the nearby town of Ponce Inlet for some fun in the sand. Lighthouse Point Park is pawsome and dog friendly, which means your dog can go for a swim or run along the beach, as long as they remain on leash. There are also sniff-tastic natural trails you can explore, with the chance to spot some wildlife. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the red lighthouse, of course!
