Some of the best can be found in the Oyster River Forest, which stretches out for 171 acres, consisting of both woodlands as well as grassy fields. There is a network of trails here that you and Fido can follow, making it easy to explore the entire forest. Another popular forested area to check out is College Woods, which lies at the west side of the University of New Hampshire campus. There are 250 acres to see here, including a 64 acre tract that has been set aside for conservation, with four miles of hiking trails to choose from.

The Hills Family Forest is always popular, with over 50 acres of conserved land located here.
