The town of Eagle, in the northwest part of Colorado, was established in 1883, and named after the Eagle River which runs through it. Settled for its gold and silver mining, today the town is a reminder of years gone by and is now frequented by visitors anxious to see a bit of the old west! For some outdoor fun while you are here, head to the Brush Creek Park and Pavilion which is the perfect place to relax the day away with your fur-ever friend. The park boasts beautifully landscaped grounds and many picnic tables to enjoy lunch together. This park is known for its incredible playground, just what the kiddies ordered! Take a walk around the grounds for a fantastic stroll with Fido.  

Head to Chambers Park for beautiful scenery along the Eagle River. You can fish, grill, or take a stroll here, and this is also a prime location of rafting and kayaking.

This hiking trail has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, so it is a great place to enjoy the day with your pawtastic friend. The trail is listed as moderately difficult, runs for 4 ½ miles, and there is an elevation gain, so plan accordingly. This higher altitude climb is perfect for those more athletic pups.
