East Islip is a hamlet in the Town of Islip. Located on the south shore of Long Island, this community has two marinas that provide access to the Great South Bay. During the 20th century, East Islip was mainly comprised of expansive estates and mansions. While there are still some small estates, today it is much more residential, and a great place to raise a four legged family member. It even has its own veterinary clinic.

Brookwood Hall Park is a great place to spend some quality time with your canine companion. This 35 acre park has nature trails that wind through groves of trees. Walk or jog down the paths to get your pup’s heart rate going. She’ll love getting her daily workout in such a pupstasitc setting. Knapps Lake makes up the west side of the park. If you want to cast a line, be sure to pick up a permit. The park also has ball fields, tennis courts, and a playground. Bring a sandwich and a couple biscuits for your furry friend, and stay for lunch. After your trip to the park, stop by Rita’s Italian Ice for a sweet treat. This furrific place has a walk up window, so your pal can help you order.

No bones about it, your pup will love East Islip!
