Dog Areas in Edisto Beach

1 Park
4 Eateries

Edisto Beach, SC, is an area meant for gorgeous beaches and spending time outdoors, but doesn’t have a lot to offer pets. Its surrounding islands do have some vet clinics, but Edisto Beach itself doesn’t have any. Still, traveling dog owners may be drawn to the island for its breathtaking water views and beaches.

The beach with the same name as its town, Edisto Beach, is a paw-friendly beach that allows leashed dogs during the beach season, from May to October. Pups can go unleashed during the off-season! The beach even has vacation homes for rent, many of which allow dogs to stay for an extra fee.

Botany Bay Ecotours is another place to check out with your dog, offering tours of the various waters of Edisto, like the Big Bay Creek. The tour company provides public and private tours and welcomes well-behaved pups on any of them!

Of course, if you’re looking for a bigger selection of things to do with your pooch near Edisto Beach, you can travel about an hour to Charleston. Charleston features tons of dog-friendly parks and tours to enjoy. You can even take a ride with Rover on the Charleston Water Taxi! The surrounding islands of Edisto Beach also may take some travel time to reach, but have plenty to offer you and your pup.
