Englewood Cliffs is a commuter community that’s one of New York City’s many suburban hubs. Pet owners especially love Englewood Cliffs because there’s room to have a pet. Space is always at a premium, but Englewood Cliffs ensures that dogs have room to fit in society here. With three veterinary clinics within the same small city limits, you can tell that people really love their dogs. Want more proof? Visit Central Kitchen, where dogs can join you at the outside patio tables. You can dine on locally sourced, seasonal meals and your dog can enjoy the fresh, local ice water served tableside in a bowl for their enjoyment.

Step out for a day by the water at the Englewood Boat Basin and Picnic Area. Your dog will have to remain on leash. In addition to tables and benches, the area has gentle walking paths with fantastic views of the water and beyond.

If you want a longer hike, check out the Englewood Trail. This 7.7 mile path is quite the trek, so bring your own water before you set out! Your thirsty pup will thank you. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, Englewood Cliffs never loses sight of dogs and what they need to be happy in an urban setting.
