Hilltop Park has 35 acres in which a person and a leashed dog can pack a lunch, walk a trail, or wet a line in the stocked lake. The KOA campground has places to tent camp, and RV sites. In addition, the campground has cabins that have air conditioning. A security deposit may be required in order to rent the dog-friendly cabins.

Arnold city limits is twenty miles east of Eureka. Arnold has free public paw parks at City Park and Ferd B. Lang Park. Each location has an acre of puppy playground for leash-free fun. Sunset Hills is 15 miles east of Eureka. Kitun Dog Park has an acre of green grass, leash-free entertainment and some exercise on brightly colored agility equipment.
