Everett, Washington, is a sizeable city north of Seattle and home to the largest public marina in the West Coast. The city is attractive for both tourist and families looking for a new place to call home. There is also a lot of green in Everett; there is a total of 40 parks in the city. Some of these parks offer fishing spots, swimming areas, hiking trails, golf courses and much more.

Washington state has one of the highest pet populations in the country. There are also a lot of pets in Everett. Some of the parks in Everett have special off-leash dog areas to accommodate the canine part of the pet population in the city. Howarth Park, for instance, is a beautiful 28-acre park that includes a long beach. While dogs have to be on a leash in the rest of the park, they are free to romp around on the beach and jump in the water.

In case dogs prefer the woods over the beach dog owners can opt for the Logan Berry Lane Off-Leash Dog Park. The park offers a number of trails that wind through the dense forests of the region. The soil can from time to time get muddy, making this park a spot for adventurous dogs who do not mind to getting a little bit dirty.

Last but not least, dog owners can take their dogs to the Lowell Parks Off-Leash Area. This dog park is similar to other dog parks that can be found in most cities in the country. The park is fully enclosed and offers a safe environment for dogs to play around without the restrictions of a leash.

Loganberry Lane Dog Park is a large wooded area between Kasch Park Athletic Complex and Walter Hall Golf Course. The dog park has an open area at the entrance off of 18th Ave W, but most of the area is a network of forested trails through natural vegetation, just perfect for sniff-tastic exercise. The trails can be muddy and it is not completely fenced, so your wily pup could escape the park boundaries if so inclined. There are no restrooms available, and you will need to bring along your own water and a bowl when you visit the dog park. Dog waste bags and garbage cans are provided.
